Awesome product

I adore this software (and I never thought I would say that about a Microsoft product). It has revolutionized my research writing: I have everything I need (articles, paper outlines, data) all findable in one place with a click. I keep two windows open on two different monitors and can move back and forth between the primary sources and my own manuscript. The syncing feature is great once you figure out how it works. The only downside I've found is that the help feature is mostly useless (the majority of the time it tells you only how to do what is self-evident from the menu labels.) But so far I've always been able to find what I need with a google search to other forums. Try it- if you like organization and/or like to be able to see everything you're working with, you'll love it.

The Best Note-Taker Software By Far

I have used & been utterly fascinated with this genre of software ("note-taker," "outliner," "free-form database," "personal information manager") for decades. I well remember using the earliest versions of "Tornado Notes" & askSam--both of which were wonderful in their time; I've upgraded both of those apps over the years & have tested NUMEROUS other competing programs . . .

And OneNote Easily beats them all. There is simply no contest.

Saved and Lost...All My Notes... Beware!

Used One Note for about a year and loved it. BUT its auto save feature can kill you! When it came time to move to a new laptop, it became quirky to figure out how to save the whole file and not just sections. And this morning, as I attempt to find the residence of the auto saves, I discover that in the old Vaio laptop, the "saved" version of all my notes (one year!) are GONE. I can only hope that my computer "guy" can find some obscure place on the hard drive where One Note has squirreled away my notes.

Loving my one note software

My sister introduced me to Microsoft One Note about 2 yrs ago. I was just blown away by what all you could do which is about several hundred different things. Ok not really that many but it is amazing what all you can do. I like to think of it as my computer organizer. I can put anything from graphics of all kinds to something that was scanned. It can be used for work or pleasure and for one or more users. It has templates for agendas, for sightseeing, traveling, hotel reservations to transportation. Any one who likes to be organized should get this. I Personally recommend this software to everyone. I love it. I can have a page for what flowers I have planted and if they are ones that I would get again. This software is like having a notebook with tabs on your computer. Just get this software you won't be sorry.
